Notts County host Swindon Town tonight looking to cement their spot in the automatic promotion places of the Sky Bet League Two table.

The Magpies moved into the top three on Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 win over Morecambe at Meadow Lane and will look to extend their unbeaten run to seven games tonight.

But Swindon arrive in Nottingham boasting a perfect record on the road with three wins from three away trips, including an eye-catching 3-0 win at Luton on Saturday.

The Robins moved level on points with the play-off places with that victory and could leapfrog Notts with another win.

However, Kevin Nolan's side are protecting an unbeaten home record in 2017-18 and will not allow that record to be blemished easily.

Notts boss Nolan says...

"Swindon have won their last two games away from home so they will fancy themselves.

"They play good stuff and have good players so we have to make sure we respect them.

"It will be a tough ask but we are at home and we are expected to win."

"Away from home, we have a solid structure, discipline and a willingness to work harder than the other team.

"The lads put in a hell of a shift to claim that result [3-0 at Luton] so we have to see who can go again and who can perform.

"They have worked so hard out of shape and possession and we will look at that with a view to getting ready to go again."

Striker Jonathan Forte could be in line for a start after scoring off the bench during the weekend's 2-0 win over Morecambe. The man he replaced, Shola Ameobi, is likely to miss out with the hamstring injury which forced him to limp off.

Nolan has an otherwise fully-fit squad to pick from.

Kaiyne Woolery was Swindon's big signing of the summer, costing the Robins £350,000 when they acquired his services from Wigan Athletic.

The pacy forward, who failed to find the net in five appearances during a loan spell at Meadow Lane in 2015, spent the second half of last season on loan at Forest Green Rovers, scoring four goals in 19 games.

Two of those goals, crucially, came in the National League play-off final against Tranmere Rovers. The striker opened and rounded off the scoring in the match as the Stroud outfit were promoted to the EFL for the first time in their history.

His form for the vegan club led to widespread interest and, when Wigan made it clear he was available for transfer, Rovers boss Mark Cooper, who used to manage Swindon, tried his best to take the striker back to The New Lawn.

But the 22-year-old opted to make the County Ground his next destination, saying: "I got a promotion last year and I came here to get another one."

We've met before...

Notts have a decent record against the Robins, losing just one of the last six meetings between the sides at Meadow Lane.

The last home win against Swindon came in April 2014 when Alan Sheehan and Callum McGregor were on target. Troy Archibald-Henville and Nathan Thompson both saw red for the visitors.

The most recent meeting between the sides in Nottingham ended 3-0 to Town. Liam Noble was sent off for Shaun Derry's side as a brace from Andy Williams and a strike by Massimo Luongo meant the three points went back to Wiltshire.

Jonathan Forte staked his claim for a regular starting berth with another goal from the bench at the weekend and could be in line for a start against the Wiltshire side. The striker is available at 5/1 to score the first goal of the game or 17/2 to score a brace.

Defender Dan Jones got off the mark with a stunning free-kick during the victory over Morecambe and is available at 50/1 to open the scoring again against the Robins.

Notts winning to-nil is 3/1, while a Magpies win with both teams scoring is available at 11/4. A goal-laden game with both teams scoring in both halves is 12/1.
