Patching stars in 23s win

Kion and Will fire Under 23s to victory

Apologies, this video is unvailable.

Will Patching notched a goal and an assist as Notts County's Under 23s won 2-1 at Doncaster Rovers.

The former Manchester City midfielder fired the Magpies ahead only for the hosts to restore parity before the break.

But Patching turned provider late on to help Etete bag the winner.

The match also saw Matt Tootle make his comeback from a recent injury with a 45-minute display.

Steve Chettle reserved special praise for Patching after full-time.

"He got a goal and an assist today, which is what he’s going to be judged on as a creative player at the top of the midfield," said the coach.

"We still feel there's more to come from him but overall his play was very good and he linked up well with Remaye Campbell."

Another happy man was Tom Crawford, who enjoyed his 90-minute run out.

"It was my first in a while, which will do me good," said the former Chester man.

"With a new manager coming in I’ve just got to keep pushing.

"Hopefully I can show him what I can do and get some starts under him."
