Notts County Football Disabled Supporters Association
Who we are
This group was set up for the benefit of disabled people and for them to be able to enjoy the match day experience. The group is constituted and holds an AGM every year. Our first AGM was in September 2012. We have an elected chair, treasurer, and secretary.
Our committee meetings are held regularly with great support from the club and stewards. We have helped the club comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and we are also a member of Level Playing Field (LPF), an organisation dedicated to disabled sports fans and who have visited the club in the past.
A sensory room is available for children with autism and any learning difficulties. We have blankets available when the weather is bad. We have arranged for stewards to help get drinks for disabled supporters before half-time. We have purchased DAB portable radios for visually impaired supporters to use, which can be borrowed for the duration of the game with a refundable deposit.
Another of our achievements is the installation of a changing table, situated in the Family Stand, which can be used by parents with babies as well as older disabled people. As well as, the blankets and waterproofs that are available during inclement weather which were kindly donated by fellow supporter group the Official Supporters’ Association.
