PiesPlayer FAQs

Ahead of the 2019-20 season Notts County have rebranded their audio and video service to PiesPlayer, featuring several new exclusive benefits for subscribers.

Read on to find out all you need to know about what’s on offer.

Why the name change?

Although Notts will remain on the EFL Digital platform, non-EFL clubs cannot use the ‘iFollow’ brand.

Will domestic and overseas video streaming of matches be available for the forthcoming season?

At the minute, no, but the club are exploring potential options to provide a separate service to overseas supporters.

What about audio commentary?

BBC Radio Nottingham will continue to provide live audio commentary of all first-team matches.

If I subscribe, what do I get?

As well as match commentary, subscribers will have exclusive access to extended match highlights, full league match replays (subject to the approval of the home club for away matches), full pre-match press conferences, interviews and features, training and other behind-the-scenes footage.

I previously had an iFollow subscription, do I need to do anything to join PiesPlayer?

No. Your subcription will automatically be transferred to the new service.

How much will it cost?

£4 per month or £30 for the season.

How and when can I subscribe?

What devices does PiesPlayer work on?

PiesPlayer is available across desktop, mobile, tablet and app. Users watching matches live on a mobile will have to use the iFollow app, which is available via the App Store and Google Play Store. There is currently no available app on the Amazon Appstore.

What else do I need to know?

The National League stipulate that clubs cannot publish any match footage on their own digital channels until midnight on the Monday following a Saturday match, or 10pm the following day for non-Saturday matches. By comparison, the EFL permit clubs to publish match footage at 12pm the day after a match. The club apologise in advance for any frustration this may cause.
