Today is the second anniversary of Notts County fans moving back into the Kop, so as part of the new Super Fan feature we thought we'd speak to the man behind the switch.
Jayme Sporton, a 37-year- lifelong supporter from Hampshire, played a pivotal role in masterminding the Magpies' relocation back to the Kop.
At the time Notts were fighting bravely for their Football League status and sat only three points clear of the drop zone, having played a game more than their rivals.
A boost was desperately needed and the move proved to be just what was required, dramatically improving the noise generated by the home support and helping to lift spirits on the pitch.
With the volume cranked up by the fantastic acoustics in the stand, this spurred the team on to win their next two games at Meadow Lane and avoid the drop.
Jayme explained why he put the time and effort into ensuring that the move happened, after initial doubts that it could ever happen.
He explained: "I was tired of seeing a hundred away fans in the most imposing stand at Meadow Lane, often making much more noise than us.
"Giving the Kop to visiting supporters gave the away team a mini advantage and I hated it.
"In my opinion, we really needed to put the away supporters in a less imposing place.
"Much more importantly, however, we needed to use the Kop to our own advantage, because you can't argue with acoustics.
"The Kop and its roof is one giant loudspeaker and if you were looking at Meadow Lane as a new ground, the blindingly obvious place for home fans to go would be there."
Jayme, who is a regular in the stand, continued to describe the intricacies of the move, saying:"I proceeded to write a lengthy document about moving Notts supporters into the Kop, which basically challenged all of the issues.
"The document was presented to the custodians of the club and they liked what they saw.
"My report convinced those at the club that it was a good move and the report offered practical solutions to the problems and presented a way in which it could be done. The rest is history."
Since the relocation, Jayme has had no regrets and feels that the matchday experience has been improved by it.
He said: "It makes me very proud to sit amongst Notts supporters in the Kop.
"I get a huge sense of satisfaction sitting in there with fellow Magpies who are clearly loving the experience and being part of the fantastic noise it produces.
"I'm fairly confident that the majority of supporters think it's been a good move and I like to think the Kop has more than played its part this season."
We are looking for more fans that go the extra mile to support their team, so if you think you're a Notts County Super Fan or know someone who is, please let us know by emailing media@nottscountyfc.co.uk.
