PLEASE NOTE: The ticket office will be open after tonight's game with Darlington for fans wanting to purchase half season tickets and reserve their seat for the forthcoming away games against Hereford United and Burton Albion.
Fans have been flocking down to Meadow Lane this week to snap up their half season tickets.
In one day the amount sold has already eclipsed the quantity taken up last year.
More are expected to be bought tonight when the Magpies take on Darlington in a 7.45 kick-off at Meadow Lane.
Ticket office manager David Deighton explained that the staff have been extremely busy since yesterday morning.
He said: "It's been hectic since the half season tickets went on sale on Monday.
"I was here last year and to see us sell more than we did then already is really encouraging.
"We've been playing well at home so fans are definitely getting their value for money.
"The lottery looks like it's caused quite a lot of excitement as well."
