Westcarr joined the Magpies in the summer of 2009 on a one year deal after spending four years playing in non-league.
After leaving local rivals Nottingham Forest, the creative wide-man spent time with Cambridge, before joining Kettering Town.
Now the winger, who can also play up front, is back in the Football League with the Magpies, and has proved that he has the quality to remain there.
A regular on the score-sheet and a frequent assister, Westcarr has been a regular in the black and white stripes this term.
