Rodgers joined the club on a two-year deal in July, 2009 after an impressive pre-season in Austria that saw him firing on all cylinders.
He netted four times during two pre-season matches, which prompted former County boss Ian McParland to hand the quick footed forward a permanent deal at Meadow Lane.
The energetic striker began his career with Shrewsbury Town and bagged 73 goals in just under 200 appearances.
He later moved on to Crewe Alexandra in 2005 and then Port Vale in 2007, before joining League One Yeovil Town in November 2008.
Continuing to show unrivalled determination and maintaining his eye for goal, which has included a hat-trick against Lincoln City, Rodgers has been a familiar name on the team sheet this season.
