Lee signed for the Magpies from League Two rivals Bradford City with a wealth of experience.
Prior to his arrival on a two-year contract in June, 2009 he had clocked up over 400 appearances following terms with Hartlepool, Sheffield Wednesday, Doncaster and Shrewsbury.
Dominant in the air and a huge threat from set-pieces, Lee has been an integral part in promotions with Hartlepool and Sheffield Wednesday.
He also netted the winning goal in Doncaster's Johnstone's Paint Trophy win in 2007 at the Millenium Stadium.
Despite having a year remaining on his contract at the Bantams, Lee was reluctantly made available for transfer at the end of last season as part of a cost-cutting exercise.
The defender has performed consistently for Notts either side of his injury lay-off towards the beginning of the season.
