Notts County have brought in Jonathan Forte on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.

The lively attacker, 25, will be familiar with the County faithful, having already spent time at Meadow Lane in the past.

As a Scunthorpe United player, Jonathan enjoyed two loan spells with the Magpies during the 2008/09 campaign, where he made a total of 18 appearances and scored eight goals.

The Barbados international, who is also capped at youth international level for England, later became a regular for the Iron in the Championship but joined Southampton in the 2011 January transfer window for an undisclosed fee.

He made 10 appearances for the Saints in 2010/11, helping them gain promotion from League 1 via automatic promotion.

The majority of Jonathan's appearances for his parent club this term have been in the Carling Cup, though he was given more game time by Preston North End, as part of a one-month loan move.

For Notts, he will wear the number 15 jersey.
