Many fail to get excited about the Johnstone's Paint Trophy but Graeme Lee isn't one of them.

The defender enjoyed success in the tournament with Doncaster back in 2007 when they beat Bristol Rovers 3-2 in the final at the Millennium Stadium.

Lee grabbed the winning goal on that day and remembers it as one of his career highlights.

"I know people look at it as a smaller trophy but there's big rewards at the end of it," he explained to Magpie Player.

"It's a great day out and it's a great opportunity as a club in the lower leagues to get to Wembley.

"As much as people knock it, it is a good tournament and a good opportunity for us."

The Magpies take on Sheffield Wednesday in the JPT tonight, kicking off at 7.45pm.
