Notts County fans are being called upon to help the team record their first npower League 1 win of the season this Saturday.

Dagenham & Redbridge are in town for the Meadow Lane fixture and will also be looking to notch up their first three points of the term.

Magpies' Assistant Manager Dave Kevan hopes that the Kop choir will be in fine voice again for the game.

He believes that they can play a significant role in spurring the team on to a vital first victory.

"They can play a massive part," said Kevan to Magpie Player.

"They were a big help to us last season and already this year.

"They're as frustrated as we are and we know that come Saturday they'll be giving the lads all the help they can."

He added: "We need to get a result as soon as possible to get our season underway.

"Any team can lose two on the spin at any point in the season but you don't want to be losing three."

The match kicks off at 3pm on Saturday, August 21 at Meadow Lane.
