The only way to erase disappointing memories of the first two league games is to pick up three points against Dagenham.

This is the view of Magpies' defender Mike Edwards, who featured in the 3-0 loss to Oldham at the weekend.

With a full week to prepare for the match, he is sure that the team will be in the right frame of mind for the Meadow Lane fixture.

He said: "We've got to try to put that behind us now and work hard this week for the Saturday home game coming up.

"We were a little bit off it all over against Oldham and little things were dropping for them.

"It was a frustrating afternoon really but we've got a full week to prepare now and it's important that we bounce back with a win."
