The team will be using the midweek break from football to their benefit, following a second 3-0 league defeat on the bounce.

Notts were second best throughout the fixture and were punished by the now League 1 leaders.

Without a fixture on Tuesday, midfielder Neal Bishop told Magpie Player that the team will be looking to use it to their advantage and make it up to fans at Meadow Lane on Saturday.

He said: "As soon as they got their first goal we seemed to fold, I wish I could say why that was.

"I felt for the away fans that made the trip and I can only apologise to them.

"Obviously we'll work hard over the next week to put it right but for me personally, I'd rather play right away because it hurts.

"It's a long week when you've had a result like that but one positive is that you get much more time on the training ground and looking at it, there's a few things that we need to put right."
