New Ticketing System
During the half-time interval of Tuesday night's game against Sheffield United, Magpie Player commentators interviewed Ticket Office Manager Dave Deighton.
Dave explained that it isn't just the management and board who have been busy this summer.
Notts are in the process of installing a new ticketing system, which will allow fans to use plastic season cards rather than season ticket booklets.
The club will introduce this new access control to the stadium throughout the 2010/11 npower League 1 season.
Season ticket holders will receive a new style 'Season Card' that features a unique bar code, which will be used to access the stadium on matchdays as opposed to last season's ticket-based system.
The new season ticket cards will hold information about the individual holder and display your details and personal client reference number. Supporters should keep their card safe, because there will be a charge for replacements.
Dave explained: " We have been incredibly busy this summer. Fans will hopefully see a complete change of how ticketing will be done at Meadow Lane.
"We've brought in a very successful ticketing company - SeeTickets - they have worked in various football grounds such as Blackburn, Nottingham Forest and now have clients such as Newcastle and the Nottingham arena
"By using this system fans will be able to order online tickets easier, and the swipe cards are also designed to be topped up to use around the ground using a programme called e-purse, which will allow you to load money onto your card to use at such outlets as the MLSB and the tea-bars."
Fans will be able to pick up their season tickets at Sunday's Open Day from the Wheeler's Suite any time after 11am. Please note that if you have paid to have your ticket posted to you, this will happen early next week.
Dave added: "I can't thank the board enough for supporting myself and my team.
"The ticketing situation has needed to be looked at for a number of years now and these improvements will certainly help both the club and its supporters, although this will be a gradual ongoing process throughout the season it is a huge step for the club."
Season tickets will be available for collection at the Open Day this Sunday (August 1).
