Arnold Town Fixture Cancelled

Posted on: Wed 28 Jul 2010

Notts County Football Club have unfortunately had to cancel the Arnold Town fixture on Friday night due to a number of players taking knocks in the three friendlies held at Meadow Lane.

Manager Craig Short is hopeful of rearranging the fixture later this year to suit both clubs.

He said: "I'm obviously disappointed because it would have been another difficult test for the lads.

"Some of the lads have picked up slight knocks and we've sadly had to cancel the match.

"The likes of Lee Hughes will be match fit and raring to go against Huddersfield Town on August 7. The first league match of the campaign has to be our priority.

"I would like to thank the staff and especially the Chairman of Arnold Town, Roy Francis, for being so understanding."
