Manager Craig Short is looking forward to facing one of his old clubs on Tuesday night.

Notts take on Sheffield United at Meadow Lane, with the game kicking off at 7.45pm

Short ended his career with the Blades, having played 23 times for them between 2005 and 2007.

"I am looking forward to it, there's not many people left there but I know Kevin Blackwell very well," he said to Magpie Player.

"It's another friendly to finalise our plans but I know Kevin's very competitive."

He added: "We want to win everything we do, whether it's training sessions or sessions in the gym.

"I've been so impressed with the desire, the fitness and the togetherness and that'll carry them a long way on top of their ability."
