New Chief Scout

Posted on: Fri 23 Jul 2010
The club has today appointed a new Chief Scout in ex-King's Lynn boss Carl Heggs.

He will be responsible for the scouting of future opposition and potential recruitments.

Chief Executive Jim Rodwell was pleased to get the former West Brom, Swansea and Northampton striker on board.

He explained: "Craig (Short) and I are delighted that he's joined our team.

"He's got a great knowledge of the game and he'll carry out an important role for us.

"He will play a huge part in ensuring that we bring in the best possible players, as well as making sure that we know what our opponents are all about."

During an 18-year career as a player, Heggs made 326 appearances, scoring 53 times.

He was appointed as King's Lynn boss in 2009, only his term was cut short when the club was wound up by the HMRC.
