League Two's top marksman Lee Hughes believes that the Magpies have another score to settle this evening.

Notts take on Chesterfield in a local derby at Meadow Lane where they will be aiming to avenge the 2-1 defeat at Saltergate towards the beginning of the campaign.

Following the return win over Accrington Stanley - the only team to beat County at home this term - Hughes wants to make amends once more tonight.

He explained: "We had a point to prove at Accrington because they came to our place and beat us.

"We've got another point to prove tonight and we're all going to be up for it.

"They're all massive games now, it's 15 cup finals and we've got to take our chances.

"I don't even look at the results, I just think that if we win we're going to be up there.

"I think the main thing is within the dressing room is that if we keep winning, we're going to be in that top-three in the next few weeks."

Hughes missed a penalty at the weekend but showed great character by tucking away his next chance.

He will be hoping to add to his 24 goals tonight in what looks to be another entertaining night under the floodlights.
