Last night's Fans Forum raised over £500, which will be donated to the Help For Heroes appeal.

Over 200 fans packed out the 1862 Suite to hear chairman Ray Trew, chief executive Jim Rodwell, director Luke Jones and group secretary Jason Brewer answer their questions.

Admission fees and a raffle helped to raise a total of £522 for the charity, which was set up to help the wounded servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Supporters Club chair Iris Smith felt that the evening was a huge success.

She said: "It was an excellent turn out and some very interesting questions asked.

"It was nice to see so many supporters who were unable to attend, take advantage of the email facility to put their views across.

"I'm sure everyone present was reassured by the frank and honest responses to all the questions asked, I certainly was!

"We all need to back Ray and Jim as much as we back our team.

"Their down to earth approach and the big dose of realism is refreshing and gives us all hope for the future of our club."

She added: "Well done to everyone that supported the event last night, even a little goes a long way to help our heroes get their lives back on track."
