Caretaker manager David Kevan has declared that his management staff will continue to give their all, following the news that he will continue to boss the team until the end of the season.

The news has been warmly received by County fans, after a string of fine performances and results under his guidance.

Kevan admitted that he would rather return to his former role of assistant manager but will do his best to ensure Notts keep pushing towards the promotion places.

He said: "In an ideal world somebody else would've come in, but that isn't to be and it's a case of carrying on as we are doing.

"Myself, Tommy and the rest of the coaching staff will go about the job as we have done all season and we'll give our best to ensure that the club continues to push in the right direction.

"At the moment we're continuing as normal, trying our best to get the players focused on the task at hand."

Kevan hailed his squad for the manner that they have handled a rollercoaster season, with the latest twist coming in the form of last week's takeover.

He said: "The players have had to deal with a lot this season and the way that they've conducted themselves has been incredible.

"The commitment and determination that we've shown all the way through has continued to shine through and full credit must go to the lads.

"We've got a great bunch here and they're 100 per cent focused on tomorrow night's game.

"They're driven by the aim of achieving promotion and they'll be going all out to ensure that we take all three points."
