Nearly 4,000 tickets have been sold for Sunday's FA Cup fifth round clash with Premiership Fulham.

Hundreds of fans flocked down to Meadow Lane this morning after the tickets went on general sale.

Within two hours 1,000 tickets had been sold, with queues tailing as far as County Road.

Ticket office manager David Deighton has urged fans trying to book their seats over the phone to be patient, as lines have been very busy.

He said: "The demand for tickets has been extremely high, particularly today.

"We advise people to come down to the ground if they can because the phones haven't stopped ringing.

"We apologise for people not being able to get through and we are trying to get back to everyone that has called."

Orders for postage must be made before 2pm on Thursday, February 11 and no more will be mailed out after that time.

The Supporters Club have now filled 24 coaches, vastly exceeding their initial target of eight.

Fans are encouraged to share cars when heading to Meadow Lane before the match as secure parking is limited.

A number of parking areas will be available, charged at normal matchday prices, including the Forest (off Lady Bay Bridge), British Waterways (opposite the main gates) and Meadow Lane car parks.

Police have expressed their concern over street parking for such a lengthy period of time and advise supporters to make use of the car parks.
