More of the same
Following the fourth consecutive clean sheet away at Grimsby Town at the weekend, David Kevan wants to see more of the same from his team.
Notts have looked solid at the back over the past few weeks, shutting out Dagenham, Barnet, Wigan and the Mariners.
The caretaker boss praised his defensive armour for their continued vigour against Grimsby and hopes that they can take it into tomorrow night's crucial clash with Bournemouth.
"Eddy seemed to be in the wars all way through the game and never shirked a challenge at any time," he said.
"Stephen Hunt again was fantastic, we've got two lads in the centre that are doing very well.
"They suit how we're trying to play at the moment.
"Not to forget Johnnie Jackson and John Thompson alongside them, and Kasper Schmeichel behind them."
A six-pointer with second placed Bournemouth now awaits and, should the Magpies prevail, they will close the gap between the sides to just four points.
Notts also have four games in hand over the Cherries and, by making the most of them, they could leap-frog them into the thick of the promotion places.
Ahead of the game, Kevan said: "We've got a lot of football to look forward to and we go to Bournemouth full of confidence.
"We'll try to patch the lads up up, get them back out there on Tuesday and we're looking for more of the same."
