Lorenzo brings with him 30 years of sports journalism experience spanning TV, Radio and Newspapers.  He has worked for Sky, the BBC, ITV, GMTV and Channel 4 and remains the youngest ever host of a networked World Cup.  He was ITV's first Champions League anchor and presented Sky's groundbreaking F1 digital plus service in partnership with Bernie Ecclestone.

Peter Trembling, Notts County's Executive Chairman, said "I am delighted that Matt has joined the club.  He is a popular figure in sports journalism and in the world of football.  His extensive experience will be invaluable to the club, team and fans as we set out to take Notts County back the pinnacle of club football.  Matt's specialist talent will help smooth the long road to success."

Lorenzo said: "This is a dream job.  The future at Notts County is more than exciting and I am just thrilled to be a part of it.  I know the owners have the funds and vision to bring success to Meadow Lane and to a number of other projects around the world, not least in F1.  This is a big challenge and one that I am fully committed to."

Lorenzo's appointment is immediate and reflects the new board's decision to effect rapid change and put in place the individuals the club needs to return to the higher leagues.  In addition to his role with Notts County, Lorenzo will continue to produce and present his own sports chat show, "On The Line", which airs on Sky Sports.

"These are exciting times and I can't wait to get started", Lorenzo concluded.
