Notts County will play their first pre-season fixture of the summer at Meadow Lane tomorrow when local rivals Nottingham Forest cross the River Trent.

Ticket sales have been brisk this week and County are anticipating a good crowd at Meadow Lane following the appointment of Sven-Goran Eriksson as Director of Football on Wednesday.

Sven's appointment has put County firmly in the media spotlight throughout the world and a large press attendance is also on the cards for his first game in his new role with the Magpies.

Billy Davies will bring his Championship side - including their summer signings Paul Anderson, Lee Camp, David McGoldrick, Dele Adebola, Paul McKenna, Dexter Blackstock and Joel Lynch - to provide County with another important workout ahead of the new season.

County new boys Lee Hughes, Ben Davies, Luke Rodgers, Neal Bishop, Craig Westcarr, Graeme Lee and Brendan Moloney - ironically on loan from Forest - are set all to make their first appearances at Meadow Lane.

Fellow new recruit Ricky Ravenhill is unlikely to be involved because of an ankle injury while Luke Rodgers and Matt Hamshaw have slight injuries but could feature against the Reds.

Ticket prices are £10 for Adults and £5 for Concessions in all areas of the stadium, and kick-off is at 3pm.

Fans should also note they can pay on the turnstiles at Meadow Lane, but tickets are also available in advance from the Ticket Office.
