Notts County midfielder Ricky Ravenhill is set to miss tomorrow's pre-season friendly at home to Nottingham Forest.

Ravenhill picked up an ankle injury in the 7-0 win at Arnold Town on Tuesday evening.

Despite responding well to treatment by Physio Paul Godfrery since, it seems unlikely Ravenhill will have to wait a little longer for his home debut.

Explained boss Ian McParland: "Ricky got a nasty whack on Tuesday and we don't really want to risk him.

"The lad thinks he will be ok for the weekend I'm not going to risk him because we have two games next week against Derby County and Liverpool he can get involved in.

"We can't afford to play Ricky tomorrow and lose him for further games, especially after he has settled in so well."

County also have slight doubts over striker Luke Rodgers (Hamstring) and Matt Hamshaw (Toe) for tomorrow's game.

"I think Luke's hamstring is just a little sore because of all the hard work we have been doing over the last fortnight, and previously he hadn't been training with anyone," added McParland.

"Hammy has a toe problem, which is a bit of a freak one actually because we think he got an insect bite which has caused a problem."

New signing Lee Hughes has trained with the County squad over the last two days and is set to make his home debut in the Meadow Lane showdown.
