The fitness of Notts County's players was put to the test this afternoon in their final training session of their pre-season visit to Austria.

On a scorching hot day the squad were first put through their paces in an intense session based around finishing.

Afterwards the fitness and endurance of the players was pushed to the limit with a series of hard runs.

It rounded off a very strenuous weeks' worth of work, which has also seen the Magpies take in two friendly matches whilst in Austria.

Said boss Ian McParland: "The lads were superb. It was tough for them, but that is what pre-season is all about."

The squad fly back to the UK tomorrow and play their next pre-season friendly on Tuesday 21 July against Arnold Town.
