Del Picks Up Second International Cap

Posted on: Sun 12 Jul 2009

Notts County forward Delroy Facey was unable to stop Grenada suffering their third successive defeat in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in Washington last night.

After earlier defeats to the USA and Haiti, Grenada went into their game with Honduras no chance of qualifying for the knock-out stages of the tournament and were swept aside with ease and beaten 4-0.

Facey - who started in two of Grenada's three matches in the Gold Cup - came close to opening his international account in the first half with a shot off the post.

Now Grenada's interest in the competition is over Facey is due to fly back to England tomorrow and is expected to arrive at County's training camp in Austria later in the week.

He is yet to be involved in any of the Magpies' pre-season programme because of his international commitments.
