Del To Face Haiti?

Posted on: Fri 10 Jul 2009

Notts County striker Delroy Facey will be hoping to force his way into the Grenada matchday squad for tonight's CONCACAF Gold Cup game with Haiti.

Facey, County's top scorer last season with 9 goals, was called up for the tournament in America last month but was not in the Grenada matchday squad that was beaten 4-0 by the USA at the weekend.

Grenada's next game is in Washington tonight against Haiti, and they must grab all three points to retain any hope of making it to the knockout stages.

After a scoreless first game there is a good chance that Facey could be included in the squad named by Grenada Coach Tommy Taylor.

Their final game in the group stages is against Honduras in Boston this Saturday.

If Facey records an appearance during the tournament he will become County's first player since Darren Ward to gain full honours at international level.
