Jimmy & Jack Statues Dream To Come True?
The phenomenal achievements of Jimmy Sirrel and Jack Wheeler with Notts County could receive permanent recognition at Meadow Lane.
The wheels have already been put in motion to create statues of the men who were instrumental in County's rise from the Fourth Division right through to the top flight.
County fans have been campaigning for some months to commission a statue of Sirrel to be positioned in the centre of Nottingham, but chairman John Armstrong-Holmes believes Meadow Lane would be a more appropriate location.
And he added: "I also believe it would be only right to recognise both men because what they achieved together for this club was incredible.
"I have already discussed it with Munto representatives and although it would obviously be an expensive exercise, they have not dismissed the possibility.
"They are very aware of the history of this club and the central characters involved, and they certainly don't need telling what Jimmy Sirrel and Jack Wheeler meant to Notts County supporters."
