Notts County are to stage a special Fans Forum next Wednesday - to deal with any lingering doubts surrounding the proposed takeover by Munto Finance.

It will take place in Wheelers at Meadow Lane on 24th June - starting at 7.30pm - and all supporters will be welcome.

Explained chairman John Armstrong-Holmes: "Ultimately the decision on whether the proposal is accepted will rest with members of the Supporters Trust.

"But the takeover issue clearly affects all supporters, and we believe it is only right that they should have the chance to raise questions and hear what we have to say.

"Certain information about the finances will still be subject to our confidentiality agreement with Munto, and it's for them to decide whether they want to discuss those details when the time is right.

"But we always try to be transparent about things within our control and that's why Roy Parker and I will be happy to meet with supporters to discuss the proposal."

Ballot papers were distributed to Supporters Trust members over the weekend and they have until Monday June 29 to cast their votes on whether the deal should go ahead.

Notts' chaplain, Rev. Mark Tanner, will act as returning officer, opening and counting the ballot papers, and arrangements are being made for papers to be collected from Trust members at the Fans Forum.
