Bishop Still Having Notts Nightmares
New Notts County signing Neal Bishop has admitted he is still having nightmares about facing the Magpies!
The midfielder has penned a pre-contract agreement with County from League Two rivals Barnet, effective from 1 July 2009.
County hammered the Bees 4-0 at Underhill last November and were 2-0 winners in the return fixture at Meadow Lane later in the season.
Bishop played in both games and admits to having endured a torrid time against County.
He joked: "I'm still having nightmares about that game at Underhill to be honest!
"4-0 at half-time was some going and I had a bit of banter with a few of the lads down at Underhill as I was trying to kick a few of them."
On a serious note, Bishop can't wait to get his County career underway and is looking forward to the fresh challenge that lies ahead.
And he believes his new side are geared up for success, but knows it is ultimately down to the players to do the business.
"The set-up here is geared up for Notts County to kick on and I want to play a big part in that," he said.
"I could have been comfortable and stayed at Barnet for the next few years, but I wanted to test myself and try to get out of this League.
"I feel I have a good chance of doing that here at Notts County.
"It is all good and well saying it but we know we have to go out and do it on the pitch.
"There will be ten or twelve other teams saying the exact same things so we have to get our heads down and do the best we can."
