Dave Kevan believes Ricky Ravenhill and Neal Bishop's arrivals will add leadership qualities to the middle of the park.

Both players had been captains at their previous clubs and Kevan feels both players have the ability not only to improve the team with their abilities on the ball, but also with their communication and leadership skills.

"These signings mean we will have a more vocal input to the team throughout the middle of the pitch," said County' Assistant Manager.

"I think it is important to have communication through the middle of the pitch, and maybe one or two rollickings from time to time.

"Ricky has been the captain at Darlington for a spell and he will bring leadership qualities to us without a doubt, and the same applies with Neal."

Kevan believes the additions will add 'bite and devilment' to the County midfield as they look to improve on last season's 19th place finish.

"Both players felt after speaking to them that we're a club moving in the right direction and they were very keen to be part of that," he said.

"They played against us last season and saw what we were all about and the type of football we want to play and it is pleasing that they want to come and be part of that.

"That speaks volumes for the Manager and the lads we last year in terms of putting that in to place.

"But, we need to take that on a stage now and we feel it can be done with that little bit more devilment and more bite to the central area which is important."
