The parents of the youngsters who will be joining Notts County as scholars next season met with the coaching staff at Meadow Lane last week to have any questions they may have had answered.

Fifteen players from our under 16s in the Centre of Excellence have been offered scholarships with the Youth Team making its return this summer.

Centre of Excellence Manager Mick Leonard, along with Youth Team Manager Michael Johnson, arranged a Parents Evening last week.

Both were able to explain what will be required of the scholars and they were also able to provide details of their education programme, as well as many other topics.

Said Leonard: "The evening ran quite smoothly. We've got to know the parents quite well this year, but it was a good opportunity to sit down with everyone and go through everything."

The scholars will begin pre-season training at the start of July.
