Notts County have targeted the players who will make up their re-launched youth team next season by offering scholarships to 15 talented youngsters.

They have earned their chance by impressing in the Under-16 team within the School of Excellence and will report to Meadow Lane this summer after leaving school to work under newly-appointed youth coach Michael Johnson.

Said Centre of Excellence manager Mick Leonard: "I'm delighted with how the season has gone in our first year and to be in a position where we are offering scholarships to 15 players is tremendous.

"Ian McParland, the Chairman and all the board have been very supportive of the plans and I know they are excited by the prospect of the youth team returning. The next step is, of course, to have some of the players make it through to the first-team and hopefully one or two can push on from there."

Two of the youngsters - midfielder Alex Troke and striker Lewis Williamson - were included in County's squad for the home game with Dagenham & Redbridge after an injury crisis at the end of April and Troke travelled with the squad for the final-day victory at Wycombe Wanderers.

Notts have been accepted into the Youth Alliance League for next season and will be playing Saturday morning fixtures although the opponents have not been confirmed at this moment in time.

Goalkeeper: Liam Mitchell

Defence: Ainsworth Calum, Mason Rowley, Jack Lampe, Lewis Chambers, Nathan Fox

Midfield: Hayden Hollis, Lewis Whiteley, Alex Troke, Reiss Neil, Ben Whittaker, Adam Langley

Forward: Chris Langham, Jamie O'Connell, Lewis Williamson
