Ian McParland today dipped into Notts County's Centre of Excellence to solve an injury crisis at Meadow Lane.

Two of County's youngsters from the Under 16s have been drafted into the squad for tomorrow's home game with Dagenham & Redbridge.

With County's small squad suffering from an injury crisis 15-year-old Alexander Troke and 16-year-old Lewis Williamson have been handed call-ups to the first-team squad.

Troke is a midfielder by trade while Williamson is a centre-forward - and both have impressed in their first season in the youth set-up.

Adam Nowland, Russell Hoult and Sean Canham are all ruled out of the game due to injury while a sickness bug has hit Jamie Forrester and Stephen Hunt who are doubtful.

Said McParland: "It's a huge step-up for the lads and although they're nowhere near being ready for first-team football, it will be a terrific experience for them.

"They will learn a little more about what it's like to be involved in and around Meadow Lane before they start their Scholarships next season.

"If they are involved in the sixteen we have some good, experienced professionals in our squad who will make them feel comfortable in the new environment.

"Like I said, it will be a great experience for them and something they can only benefit from in the future."

"Alex is a really strong and powerful lad and it takes something special to get him off the ball. He's got great energy and really gets up and down the pitch while Lewis is small in build but has good mobility and movement and he looks a good finisher," said Centre of Excellence Manager Mick Leonard.

Both players could make the bench if County's injury worries fail to ease.
