The latest edition of the Matchday Magazine is on sale around Meadow Lane on Saturday afternoon for our clash with Play-off chasing Dagenham & Redbridge, and as usual it's packed full of news and features from inside your club.
In the last issue for the 2008-09 campaign we caught up with towering frontman Sean Canham for our 'Time Out With…' feature. The former non-League striker told us about his progress over the last 12 months, why he believes the introduction of a new reserve team at Notts County will make all the difference and what his highs for the season have been.
Also in the 64-page award winning publication, departing centre back Michael Johnson takes a minute to talk us through his all-time career memories in 'Give Me Five…' and it's veteran goalkeeper Russell Hoult's turn to reveal his fantasy line-up of players in 'Dream Team Mates'.
There's also the 'Tale of Two Halves' picture spread to cast your eyes over, which looks back at all the action from our last home game with Grimsby, as well as a comprehensive 'Visitors' section towards the centre to keep you informed about what John Still's Daggers have to offer.
Other features to keep a look out for include 'Faraway Fans', where long distance Magpies' get back in touch. This week a dedicated Pie living in New Zealand tells us how he's still flying our flag almost 12,000 miles away. There's also the 'Rewind to…' feature, which focuses on a particular campaign from our past. In this issue we re-live the 1990-91 promotion winning Division 2 campaign.
On our Centre of Excellence page we introduce you to the second batch of youngsters who will make up our youth team next season, there's the final table from the world of Magpie Manager 2008-09 and Colin Slater tells us about his visits to opposition territory.
Manager Ian McParland puts forward his views about first team affairs at the front and in the 'Pie News' section this week we spoke to Matt Hamshaw about his Supporters' 'Player of the Year' award and met up with the first season ticket holder of 2009-10.
Also in this section we hear from Vandanel Managing Director Neil Burke about becoming our new shirt sponsors for next season, hear from the overall Magpie Manager winner and look back with Michael Johnson over his illustrious career and last ever game at Meadow Lane.
The Matchday Magazine costs just £2.50 and is available in-and-around Meadow Lane - including the Club Shop - so make sure you don't miss out on picking up a copy of the popular Magazine.
If you can't get to the game, remember you can still order your copy of the Matchday Magazine on our Online Store.
