Mike Edwards believes Notts County's players don't need any extra motivation to get themselves up for Saturday's home game with Dagenham & Redbridge.

County suffered a humiliating 6-1 defeat at Dagenham back in November which has not been forgotten by the Magpies players.

In their final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon Edwards is determined to see County bow out for the summer with some sort of result.

"We owe Dagenham a big one really," he said.

"None of us want to be reminded of that result and we want to put in the right sort of performance and get a win."

After a bright start to 2009 at Meadow Lane with four wins from five, County have not won in their last five outings at home.

Edwards believes County must end their inconsistent season at home on a positive note.

"The form at Meadow Lane lately hasn't been good enough, simple as that," he said.

"At the start of January we thought we had got on top of the home form by getting some good results.

"Putting our fingers on it would be like gold dust to be honest.

"Our performances in a few of the games have warranted a bit more which is disappointing and we're frustrated as a group it hasn't worked out better."
