The latest edition of the Matchday Magazine is on sale around Meadow Lane on Monday afternoon for our Easter clash with relegation threatened Grimsby Town, and as usual it's packed full of news and features from inside your club.
In this issue we caught up with amiable frontman Delroy Facey for our 'Time Out With…' feature. The former Premiership goal-getter told us about his intense pre-season regime, how he's aiming to be among the leading scorers in the division next season and why he believes he has the best service in the League.
Also in the 64-page award winning publication centre back Mike Edwards takes a minute to talk us through his television habits in 'Give Me Five…' and it's physio Paul Smith's turn to reveal his fantasy line-up of players he's given the magic sponge too in 'ream Team Mates'.
There's also the 'Tale of Two Halves' picture spread to cast your eyes over, which looks back at all the action from our last home game with Chester, as well as a comprehensive 'Visitors' section towards the centre to keep you informed about what Mike Newell's Mariner's have to offer.
Other features to keep a look out for include 'Faraway Fans', where long distance Magpies' get back in touch. This week a dedicated Pie living in Gloucestershire tells us about getting to Meadow Lane on a regular basis. There's also the 'Rewind to…' feature, which focuses on a particular campaign from our past. In this issue we re-live the 2000-01 Division 2 campaign.
On our Centre of Excellence page we introduce you to the first batch of youngsters who will make up our youth team next season, there are the ups and downs from the world of Magpie Manager 2008-09 and Colin Slater tells us about his visits to opposition territory.
Manager Ian McParland puts forward his views about first team affairs at the front and in the 'Pie News' section this week we speak to right back Phil Picken about his hunt for a goal and find out about season ticket prices for 2009-10.
Edwards also reveals his joy at getting back on the goal trail recently and head groundsman Greg Smith tells us about his plans for our playing surface over the approaching summer months.
The Matchday Magazine costs just £2.50 and is available in-and-around Meadow Lane - including the Club Shop - so make sure you don't miss out on picking up a copy of the popular Magazine.
