The latest edition of the Matchday Magazine is on sale around Meadow Lane on Saturday for our clash with struggling Chester City, and as usual, it's packed full of news and features from inside your club.
In this issue we stole a minute with reliable central defender Mike Edwards for our 'Time Out With…' feature. The former 'Supporters' Player of the Year' told us about loyalty in football, his favourite all time Magpie centre back partnerships and why he, better than anyone, can see that we're moving in the right direction.
Also in the 64-page award winning publication, on-loan striker Jonathan Forte tells us about his television habits and it's assistant manager Dave Kevan's turn to reveal his fantasy line-up of 'Dream Team-Mates', which include 'blasts from the past' such as Mark Stein, Bruce Grobbelaar and Micky Thomas.
There's also the 'Tale of Two Halves' picture spread to cast your eyes over, which looks back at all the action from our last home game with Gillingham, as well as a comprehensive 'Visitors' section towards the centre to keep you informed about what Mark Wright's Blue's have to offer.
Other features to keep a look out for include 'Faraway Fans', where long distance Magpies' get back in touch. This week a dedicated Pie living in Germany tells us how he's flying our flag on the Continent. There's also the 'Rewind to…' feature, which focuses on a particular campaign from our past. In this issue we re-live the 1981-82 Division One season.
On our Centre of Excellence page coach Darren Davis fills us in on the latest progress from the Under-15 and Under-16s, there are the ups and downs from the world of Magpie Manager 2008-09 and Colin Slater tells us about his visits to opposition territory.
Manager Ian McParland puts forward his views about first team affairs at the front and in the 'Pie News' section this week we speak to Matt Hamshaw about his aim to finish the season on a high, hear from Jamie Forrester about wanting to continue his fantastic goal scoring trend against Chester and introduce you to our latest recruit Matt Richards.
And there's more, as Myles Weston told us why he's buzzing to be topping our assists charts, we find out how our players did in last week's Lifeline quiz evening and speak to Forte about missing out on Wembley.
The Matchday Magazine costs just £2.50 and is available in-and-around Meadow Lane - including the Club Shop - so make sure you don't miss out on picking up a copy of the popular Magazine.
If you can't get to the game, remember you can still order your copy of the Matchday Magazine on our Online Store.
