Jonathan Forte today extended loan from Scunthorpe United for a third month and insisted: "I'm determined to get more goals."
The 22-year-old will be with County up to, and including, Saturday 18 April under the terms of the third and final month on loan from the League One side.
In two separate loan spells at Meadow Lane this season the striker has scored seven goals in thirteen appearances.
With his short-term future secured for another month he is determined to add to his tally and play his part in County ending the season on a high note.
He said: "I'm happy to be staying on for another month and I want to add to those seven.
"If I could get up to double figures I would be delighted to say the least.
"I've made it clear in the past how highly I regard the staff here, so it was an easy decision to stay on."
County Manager Ian McParland believes Forte has a huge role to play in the five games he will be available for.
He said: "Jonathan's pace is frightening and I'm convinced he has a big role to play in the games he is available to us.
"We put him on the bench on Saturday and although he was disappointed not to make the starting line-up his attitude was first class.
"There was no sulking from him and he was positive that when he did come on he would make an impact, which he did.
"That's the sort of thing I expect to see from my players and it's only a good thing for Notts County that he wants to stay on with us."
