Matchday Magazine Vs Gillingham

Posted on: Tue 17 Mar 2009

The latest edition of the Matchday Magazine has an unusual theme to it as we profile not one, not two, but three different Paul Smiths.

Check out the 'Pie News' section to discover more about the similarities between our club physiotherapist Paul Smith and his namesake on the Gillingham bench, as well as the latest supporter to be profiled as a 'Faraway Fan.'

Given that we're up against the high-flying Gills, it made perfect sense to take some 'Time Out With...' their former striker Tommy Johnson, as the Meadow Lane legend explained how he just couldn't stay away once Ian McParland came calling, as well as his work for charity and keeping his eye in on the Masters circuit.

The award-winning publication also features a double dip from Centre of Excellence Manager Mick Leonard, who's not only been busy continuing his preparations for the re-launch of the youth team, but also picked out his 'Dream Team-Mates' from his playing days.

Anyone who missed the weekend's action against Accrington Stanley can get a recap in the 'Tale of Two Halves', while the 'Visitors' section has everything you need to know about the promotion-chasers.

Elsewhere Delroy Facey reveals a few secrets from the training ground, we 'Rewind' back to 1975-76, have the latest Magpie Manager table and Colin Slater tells us about his visits to opposition territory.

And for a light-hearted finish, check out what our new 'signing' Sneaky has to say about Jonathan Forte's mum and the behaviour of Commercial Assistant Ali Ayub.

The Matchday Magazine costs just £2.50 and is available in-and-around Meadow Lane - including the Club Shop - so make sure you don't miss out on picking up a copy of the popular Magazine.

If you can't get to the game, remember you can still order your copy of the Matchday Magazine on our Online Store.
