Notts County would like to remind supporters that the upper tier of the Victoria Centre Kop will be out of bounds for Saturday's visit of Bradford City.

John Armstrong-Holmes met with Nottingham City Council representatives earlier in the week to discuss the two outstanding issues of the recent Health & Safety Report.

And the Chairman agreed that the upper tier would be immediately closed, and remain so until a workable solution to the "Persistent Standing" issue has been found.

Notts have until the end of March to come up with a policy that is acceptable to the ground safety authority but as the Chairman said: "The only real solution is for people not to stand."

The problem is that the upper tier has a gradient of more than 30 degrees, which is regarded as a potential hazard.

Added the Chairman: "There has never been a problem of any kind in that area but we have to accept the advice of the experts."

The upper tier of The Kop has a capacity of 2,000 but there will still be room in that stand to accommodate 3,500 supporters.
