Russell Hoult is hopeful of making a return to training next month.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper has not played since December after undergoing shoulder surgery.

His recovery process hasn't been as quick as hoped, but he visited a specialist earlier this week who will assess him again in three weeks time.

Hoult explained: "It has been a frustrating time for me but I'm hopeful that when I visit the specialist in three weeks I will have some positive news and I can get back into training.

"I'm working hard with our Fitness Coach and Physio and I can't wait to get down to the serious work on the training ground because it has been a while."

Hoult missed the early stages of the season with a stress fracture to his right leg and failed to make a League appearance until September.
