Notts County's players were last night given the opportunity to say a big 'thank you' to their individual sponsors.

As part of the players' sponsorship package this season a special dinner event was held at Meadow Lane on Tuesday evening, allowing the sponsors and their guests to enjoy a meal with with their chosen player for the campaign.

All sponsors also had individual photographs taken by Club Photographer John Sumpter with their sponsored player holding his match shirt aloft.

Manager Ian McParland and his backroom staff were in attendance - excluding Dave Kevan who was away on a scouting mission - and were happy to chat to supporters throughout the night.

McParland explained: "It was a terrific idea to spend an evening with our sponsors who after all work very hard for their money and put it into the club. It's something we really appreciate so to get the opportunity to enjoy dinner with them and put faces to names was good."

Commercial Sales Executive Lauren Webster said: "It was lovely to see so many of our sponsors make the event and enjoy their evening with the players and the feedback we had was excellent. It was a great opportunity to enhance our relationship with them and speak about possible links with them in the future."
