Lifeline Dinner Dance Is A Hit
Around 150 people turned out for the Lifeline Dinner Dance at Meadow Lane last night, ensuring 2008 went out in style.
The second-ever Dinner Dance was again a sell-out and attendees enjoyed a four-course Christmas dinner before getting down to business on the dance floor.
Week No.13s Lifeline winning draw took place on the night with legendary former players such as Bobby Tait and Don Masson drawing out the winning numbers.
Midfielder Gavin Strachan was one of the lucky winners, claiming one of the £50 prizes.
A raffle also took place with a host of excellent prizes on offer including the penalty spot from the Meadow Lane turf.
Lifeline Co-Ordinator Lynn Lawson oversaw the event, and she said: "The Dinner Dance was a huge success and I'd like to thank all those who attended and helped the event run as smoothly as possible.
"We're already looking into plans for what 2009 holds for Lifeline and if 2008 is anything to go by it will be a really great year."
