Notts County have today bolstered their frontline by signing Scunthorpe United striker Jonathan Forte.
The livewire 22-year-old has arrived at Meadow Lane on a month's loan and is set to make his debut at Barnet this weekend.
Manager Ian McParland commented: "Jonathan is a terrific addition to our squad. He is young, quick and he has a variety of qualities to bring to our frontline.
"We're delighted he has agreed to join us - and we're very grateful to Nigel Adkins and Scunthorpe United for allowing him to come here."
The former England Youth striker, who can also perform out wide, has been capped by Barbados at international level in the past year during their World Cup qualifying campaign.
He featured against the Magpies for the Iron in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy earlier this season - which Scunthorpe won 2-1.
Forte began his career at Sheffield United and made 30 League appearances for the Blades.
He also had loan stints with Rotherham and Doncaster, totalling 65 more League games and scoring 13 goals before signing for Scunthorpe on a permanent basis in the summer of 2007.
He has been unable to force his way into Scunthorpe's promotion-chasing side this term, Forte figured 38 times in the Championship last season, scoring four times, and Adkins is keen for the frontman to move out on loan and get more games under his belt.
