The new look Matchday Magazine is on sale around Meadow Lane Saturday afternoon for our League clash with high fliers Shrewsbury and it's bigger and better than ever.

Last season's award winning programme has been increased to a bumper 64 pages this time around, and that means it's overflowing with all the news and features from behind the scenes at your club.

In this issue Derby loanee Jason Beardsley gives us five, while Jamie Forrester reveals his fantasy line-up in 'Dream Team Mates.'

As always there's the 'Tale of Two Halves' looking back at all the action from our last home game against Darlington, as well as a comprehensive 'Visitor's' section to keep you informed about what tomorrows opponents have to offer.

Other new features in the publication to keep a look out for are 'Faraway Fans', where long distance Magpies' supporters get back in touch, and 'Rewind to…' which focuses on a particular campaign from our past. In this edition Bob Worthington re-lives the 1972-73 campaign.

In addition, we take a minute with new recruit Delroy Facey in the 'Time Out With…' feature. The former Bolton targetman tells us about his mixed spell in the Premiership, being likened to Emile Heskey and why he laughs off the tag 'journeyman'.

Mick Leonard also keeps us up to date with progress at the Centre of Excellence, there's the continuation of football historian Leigh Edwards' A to Z of our former players and Colin Slater tells us about his visits into opposition territory.

There's double page spreads on the Football in the Community and Magpie Manager 2008-09 to keep us informed on all the latest goings on, while Gavin Strachan gives us tales from inside the dressing room in 'Psst…'

At the front, manager Ian McParland gives us his latest views about first team affairs and in the 'Pie News' section this week Jamie Forrester tells us why he's eyeing up the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie with Scunthorpe.

We hear from former frontman Jason Lee about returning to Meadow Lane in a coaching capacity and learn about a special initiative for season ticket holders for our tie with Brentford in October.

The Matchday Magazine costs just £2.50 and is available in-and-around Meadow Lane - including the Club Shop - so make sure you don't miss out on picking up a copy of the popular Magazine.

If you can't get to the game, remember you can still order your copy of the Matchday Magazine on our Online Store.
