Ian McParland is says he will be the happiest man in Nottingham if Notts County can secure their League Two status this weekend.
McParland admits that there is a massive incentive for his squad this weekend to claim all three points at Wrexham, as the Magpies could be safe by 5pm on Saturday.
"It's all ifs and buts again, but it is a massive incentive for us that we could be safe this weekend," said the Magpies boss.
"If I am coming back on that coach on Saturday night and have everything has gone well for and we're safe there will not be a happier man in Nottingham than me.
"It is all in our hands, and if we can go to Wrexham and get a result hopefully that will be us getting towards that safety mark."
With safety in Notts' hands, McParland is certainly not taking Wrexham lightly, and he is expecting Brian Little's men to fly out of the traps and put on a show in front of their own fans.
He said: "People are saying that Wrexham are virtually down already, but they will be fighting to the death.
"They were well beaten by Shrewsbury last Sunday, and I think they will have had a right kick up the backside from their Manager and his staff this week.
"Playing in front of their fans, they will be looking to put a show on."
The Magpies' management have cast their watchful eyes over their opponents on a number of occasions in the last few weeks.
"I saw them play away at Mansfield a few weeks ago, and they were dominating the game up until falling behind," explained the Notts boss.
"Mansfield got two quick goals and won the game, although they did get one back and put Mansfield under pressure.
"Dave (Kevan) went to see them last Sunday and they were well beaten by Shrewsbury but we know any team on their day against another in the bottom half, especially in this League, can beat another.
"That is the long and short of it and that is where goalscorers come into it massively."
McParland admitted he was more relieved than delighted with the 1-0 victory over Accrington last Saturday, and he joked that he cannot wait for the day he sees his side take a two-goal lead in a game.
"Last Saturday was a massive game, and the lads responded. I was pleased, but at the moment it is relief as much as anything," he said.
"We dropped a bit too deep at times, and at 1-0 up things got a bit nervy.
"I am dying for the day when we go 2-0 up in a game; so we can relax a little bit."
