Live Updates From Edgeley Park
Full-Time - Stockport County 1-1 Notts County: A hard fought point here for the Magpies as the Referee signals full time. Look out for a full report and reaction here on nottscountyfc.co.uk this evening.
90 + 2 Mins: Time almost up here, and with time virtually up Stockport have a free kick wide on the left. Last chance saloon here.
90 Mins: Three minutes of added time signalled. It would be another welcome point for Notts here.
89 Mins: McSweeney bursts forwards from midfield for the home side, but he blasts over from outside the box.
88 Mins: Strachan goes into the book for a foul, after fine display from the new boy in midfield who is really settling in well to life at Meadow Lane.
85 Mins: Stockport win a corner but Notts almost catch the visitors out on the break but Williams is well placed in the box to clear Jarvis' cross towards Weston at the far post.
83 Mins: Time ticking away here, and it really has been a chanceless half. But, Notts have battled superbly well. From the first whistle the sleeves have been rolled up and every player has stood up and battled for the cause. When Stockport have put Notts under pressure the defence has held firm, solid and composed.
80 Mins: Weston is finally on, replacing Lawrie Dudfield. Jim Gannon continues to point at his watch, can't really see how Notts are wasting time.
78 Mins: Looks like Weston will finally be coming on, he has been called back by Ian McParland.
76 Mins: Smith has just been replaced for the Magpies, and Gary Silk is on in his place. Straight swap.
72 Mins: Cross by Gibb from the right is only cleared onto the edge of the box by Taylor and Strachan is quickly on the ball, but he can only fire into the stands. A clean connection by the former Peterborough midfielder, but his shot was always rising.
71 Mins: Weston has gone to warm up again with Gary Silk and Austin McCann. On the pitch, nothing major to note in the last few minutes. It really has been a hard-fought game today, but lacking clear-cut chances.
68 Mins: Weston still isn't on yet. He's stripped and ready for action, but Notts aren't ready to make the change just yet.
65 Mins: Notts work a decent opening down the right-hand side for Gibb just inside the box, but he sees glory far too early and smashes his right-foot drive high into the stands. Looks like Myles Weston is coming on for the Magpies, no idea who is coming off just yet.
62 Mins: Pilkington and Tansey off for the home side, and on come McSweeney and Proudlock. Jim Gannon obviously wants more from his side.
60 Mins: Stockport's Dicker floats in a danergous cross towards the far post but Rowe is not able to guide is header on target and can only find the side-netting. Pilkington easily had it covered anyway. Stockport are set to bring on McSweeney too; there's activity on the Stockport bench.
57 Mins: Again it has been evenly contested this half and no clear-cut chances. Neither Manager looks keen to make a change at the moment, no activity on the benches. No holding back from Notts though, they won't sit here and settle for a point.
56 Mins: Attendance confirmed to us at Edgeley Park; 5,849 with 371 making the trip from Nottingham.
54 Mins: Notts win their first corner of the half with Butcher's corner not cleared well enough by the home side but in the end Gibb's final ball was lacking. Ian McParland was furious in front of us that the ball wasn't pumped back into the box.
50 Mins: A good little piece of play by Notts with Gibb and Smith combining well down the right, but Jarvis couldn't get a clean connection of Smith's ball into the box and he slashed the ball wide.
48 Mins: Pilkington skips past Strachan to get a shot in from outside the box, and he is off target. Lively opening from the home side to this half.
47 Mins: Stockport force a corner straight away, just like Notts did in the first half following Rowe's shot taking a deflection off Tann.
46 Mins: We're off, Notts kick off attacking to our right as we look.
4:05pm: Teams are back for the second half, and looks like no changes for either side. We're ready to go!
Half-Time: Stockport County 1-1 Notts County
45 Mins: Two minutes of added time signalled just as Rose curled a free-kick just wide from outside the box. Tann's foul twenty yards out allowed the opportunity which looked to be curling in with Pilkington scrambling across his line, but the ball whistled just wide.
43 Mins: Only a few minutes to the break, and it has been quite even here at Edgeley Park. Neither side have created clear-cut chances since their goals. A really evenly-matched League Two encounter so far.
40 Mins: Notts again catch Stockport on the ball and Dudfield's neat run allowed Jarvis to run into space, but Dudfield's ball was a little too heavy and Logan was able to claim. Got the thumbs up from Ian McParland, he knew what Dudfield was looking to do.
36 Mins: After the bright start here the game has calmed down somewhat. Both sides have been guilty of giving the ball away easily, and neither side has really been in control for the last fifteen minutes or so. You wold have expected Stockport to be right up and at Notts after drawing level, but they haven't threatened at all.
33 Mins: Tann breaks up Stockport's attack to set Notts off on their own and feed his cousin Jarvis down the left, and he opts to go along with a few stepovers before shooting at goal from outside the box. Although he had plenty of power in the effort it was straight at Logan.
30 Mins: Butcher goes into the book for kicking the ball away, and Stockport Manager Jim Gannon seems to want to point to his watch every time Notts get a throw or free-kick. It would seem nowadays you have to instantly get the ball back in play!
25 Mins: Big lift for the home side, but they haven't been able to carve out any more chances. Frustratingly Notts could have been 2-0 up a few minutes before had anyone been on the end of Butcher's corner, and in front of us in the away dugout Ian McParland is shaking his head.
22 Mins - GOAL - Stockport 1-1 Notts
Stockport draw level, and from the home side's point of view an easy goal. A neat passing move down the right allowed Pilkington to cross across the six-yard box and Rowe was on hand to tap the ball home. Just as the home side were beginning to cut a frustrated figure they are back on level terms.
19 Mins: Notts force another corner and Butcher's ball goes right across the six-yard box, if only someone was on hand to tap in there it would have been 2-0 to Notts.
17 Mins: Dudfield latches onto Tann's long ball over the top to turn Williams and get a left-foot drive in, but Logan saves well down to his right. Notts are looking full of confidence, and the home fans and very frustrated. A few excellent challenges flying in, especially from Adam Tann who early on is giving a real leader's performance.
15 Mins: Stockport have been looking for a quick response here, trying to use their pace to get at Notts but so far they have enjoyed no luck with the Magpies looking solid from front to back.
11 Mins: What a great start for Notts, who have looked really dangerous from their set-pieces so far. That's Edwards' first goal of the season, and obviously his first since returning from the long-term injury in pre-season. The key for Notts now is to hold onto this lead, and not let it slip so quickly like they did last week against Grimsby.
9 Mins - GOAL - Stockport 0-1 Notts
Notts take the lead from a free-kick, and it is Mike Edwards who has scrambled the ball home. Butcher's free-kick from the far left after a foul on Dudfield was superbly whipped across the box and from inside the six yard box Edwards stuck out a leg to guide the ball home. Logan thought he had got back to clear the ball off the line, but the Linesman on the far side judged te ball had crossed the line and Notts are in the lead.
7 Mins: First save of the day for Kevin Pilkington, and it comes from his namesake Anthony. His left-foot shot from the edge of the box after Tann's fine challenge on Dickinson was straight at the Notts goalkeeper, but on a poor pitch the ball seemed to bounce up and come back of Pilkington's body. Edwards was on hand to clear, and Notts survive their first scare of the afternoon.
6 Mins: Stockport's fans behind the goal are in full voice and right behind their side as they force their first corner, but that comes to nothing and the ball floats behind for a goal kick for the Magpies.
4 Mins: Bright opening by Notts, looking to take the game to Stockport - who themselves look lively on the counter-attack when breaking up the play.
1 Min: Notts force a corner almost straight away, Gibb's cross takes a deflection but Butcher's flag-kick doesn't fall to a Notts player in the box and Stockport's Williams lashes the ball clear.
3pm: We're off and underway, Notts attacking towards our left as we sit in the Press Box towards their own fans.
2:56pm: The two teams are out onto the pitch, a big welcome for both sides and there's everything at stake for both sides to extend their unbeaten runs.
2:54pm: Good to see Notts fans in good humour today, a group of Magpies fans are sat behind the goal to our left in fancy dress. Scooby Doo, The Stig and Batman are just some of the outfits on display!
2:45pm: Notts players are now back in the small and cramped away dressing room, and Ian McParland has made a point of giving each player a pat on the back and a few words as they head into the dressing room. From here you can see he is pointing at the players' heads and telling them to be focused, and have nothing else on their minds. Ali Gibb will no doubt really be up for this one too; he is back at his old club today.
2:40pm: Notts' players going through their warm-up with Dave Kevan and Tommy Johnson on what can only be described as a well-used pitch here at Edgeley Park. Stockport share their home ground with Sale Sharks and there's barely any grass in the middle of the pitch. You get the sense today's game is going to be a real battle; a roll your sleeves up style game.
2:20pm: A welcome return for Jay Smith today, his first start in five months. There's no doubting he has been itching to get back into action after returning from injury last month, and today would appear to be his big opportunity to cement a first-team berth under Ian McParland.
2:00pm: Welcome to Edgeley Park; the home of Stockport County for today's clockwatch live on nottscountyfc.co.uk. We have the Notts team news, and there's two changes to the side which drew wit Grimsby Town 1-1 last Saturday. In comes Jay Smith for Gary Silk in midfield, and Jason Lee drops to the bench after being a doubt with an Achilles problem and Lawrie Dudfield comes into the team alongside Ryan Jarvis in attack.
